A MULTIPURPOSE MACHINE FOR CUTTING VEGETATIVELY PROPAGATED AND SEEDLING ROOTSTOCKS

Authors:   ZH.S. Roussalimov, S.M. Mandradjiev
Keywords:   mechanization, cutting, rootstocks, nursery
Abstract:
A multipurpose machine is developed to work in fruit tree nurseries for production of vegetatively-propagated and seedling rootstocks. It is mounted and aggregated to a wheeled tractor class 1,4 t and works in one row of plants. The machine is operated by one tractor driver.
The machine cuts back the rootstocks at 40-60 cm, removes the top soil of the processed row to the zone of cutting, cuts off the rootstock roots, collects the cut rootstocks in a strip, levels the bed and cleans the soil from the mother plants cuts. The multipurpose machine for cutting vegetatively-propagated and seedling rootstocks eliminates the manual work, increases planting material production and its quality by improving the mechanical operations, that determine the stock root development and contributes to the full exposing of mother plant cuts to the sun.
