The present work studied the flowering period of Yellow Passion Fruit (Passiflora edulis f. flavicarpa Deg.) in the region of Jaboticabal. The experimental field was located at the College of Agriculture and was constituted of 95 plants, planted in march 1973, spaced 6.0 m apart, sustained by a single wire, and planted in rows spaced 4.0 m apart.

It was verified that yellow passion fruit begins to flower nine month after planting, and the flowering period last mine month during the year. The highest number was obtained in december. It does not flower when submitted to less than eleven hours of day lenght, a positive correlation was found between flowering with day lenght, r=0.7116**.

The greater percentage of flowers during the study was obtained from october to march, and because of this is advisable to avoid by practice the can prejudice the population of pollinating agents.
