Abstract:
The reduction of the energy consumption for heating is, in many areas, an interesting objective for the production of greenhouses . In this study several techniques of energy saving have been tested using a simple polyethylene cover, in combination with two systems of distribution of the heat: radiant floors and air heaters. The goal was to verify the efficiency of utilization, on the energy saving aspect, of polyethylene film as a double covering or small tunnel. The system that got a significant energy saving was the combination of the radiant floor with polyethylene tunnels; the obtained energy saving was 30% as against the use of radiant floor without the tunnels. It seems advisable then, to use the tunnels with the heating system inside them.
