Abstract:
Uniconazole was sprayed at 0, 50, 100, 200 or 400 mg L-1 on eight-year-old longan trees of cv.
Shixia.
Uniconazole decreased shoot length, leaf area and specific leaf area and increased leaf thickness and mesophyll density.
Application of uniconazole increased leaf chlorophyll, carotenoid content and net photosynthetic rate (Pn) slightly.
Intrinsic efficiency of photosystem II (PSII)(Fv/Fm), quantum yield of PSII electron transport (ΦPSII) and photochemical quenching (qP) were increased with uniconazole, while non-photochemical quenching (qN) was decreased.
The chemical increased fruit yield and total sugar content, but reduced average fruit weight.
