Abstract:
It is generally thought that ethylene in the storage atmosphere decreases the storage life of most commodities.
However, we have indications that ethylene during storage helped prevent flesh disorders of peaches and nectarines.
In this study we examined whether the ethylene action inhibitor 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP), could affect the development of storage disorders in nectarines or plums.
