Abstract:
The so called energy crisis is mainly causing cash flow problems in the Swedish horticulture industry.
To estimate the potential effects of the rise of costs and product prices, calculations have been made for major products.
Short run compensations over higher product prices are very uneven.
The need for loans granted by the state has been estimated at 20 million Sw. crowns.
Important structural effects have occured behind the energy crisis and a more conscious planning and control will be established in most firms.
Inreased political dependence is however also a reality - a danger for expanding free trade?
