Abstract:
Geleznowia verrucosa, commonly known as Yellow Bells, is a popular feature flower from Western Australia.
They have clusters of bright yellow terminal flowers with stems bearing small leaves.
Until recently all stems were picked from wild populations or managed bush stands but this species is now being brought into cultivation.
Floricultural diversity was examined from wild populations in situ and under cultivated conditions.
Five Floricultural Forms were identified which have distinctive flower size and colour, flowering period, growth habit, and leaf colour.
Floricultural Forms also differ in germination, establishment, and vigour in cultivation.
Leaf and flower vase life was approximately 10 days.
