Abstract:
The program for experiments on propagation by cuttings at Hornum is stated.
The use at the station of stonewool blocks for propagation experiments and the advantages and disadvantages of this medium is briefly discussed.
By examples it is illustrated how the effect of experimental treatments simply and effectively can be recorded by weekly repeated recording of the number of cuttings with roots penetrating the bottom and sides of the stonewool blocks.
The counting of the number of roottips emerging from the blocks is also discussed.
