ISHS Acta Horticulturae 537: III International Symposium on Irrigation of Horticultural Crops

DOES PEACH TREE HYDRAULIC RESISTANCE PLAY ANY ROLE IN MAXIMUM DAILY TRUNK SHRINKAGE?

Authors:   J. Marsal, M. Mata, M. Gelly, J. Girona
Keywords:   stem water potential, predawn water potential, leaf transpiration
Abstract:
The objective of this study was to find out if tree hydraulic factors could explain some of the unexplained variability in maximum daily trunk shrinkage. Two different irrigation treatments were studied: Non Stress treatment (control), which was irrigated following a water budget method and deficit irrigation (RDI) tratment, which was submitted to two deficit periods.
