THE WATER QUALITY AND IRRIGATION METHOD INFLUENCE ABOUT THE AUTUMN WHITE CABBAGE YIELD

Author:   M. Bogoescu
Keywords:   Brassica oleracea, magnetic treated water, irrigation, Romania
Abstract:
The researchers followed the effect upon the yield marketable quality and some biochemical indicators of the autumn white cabbage irrigated with magnetic treated water. Comparing with ordinary water irrigation there were an increase of yield by at least 4.2% and of the quality head cabbage percentage by 15.6%. Using the magnetic treated water the improvement of some biochemical indicators of quality and nutritional features such as: dry matter, acidity, soluble glucides, ascorbic acid, chlorophyll, mineral substances content has been observed. Cytohistological modification of the epidermis, mesophyll and cabbage leaf vein (cell size, wax layer, stoma number) has been occurred. Using the magnetic treated water the most efficiently method is the irrigation by leaking on the surface.
