ISHS Acta Horticulturae 53: IV Africa Symposium on Horticultural Crops

A SURVEY OF SOME MANGO CULTIVARS IN GHANA

Authors:   P.T. Ito, O.K. Atubra, W.S. Abutiate
Abstract:
A two-year survey of some mango cultivars in selected areas of Ghana showed that most of the introduced cultivars had very attractive external colour and were of good quality. They were also of low fibre content. Fruits from "local" seedling trees had high fibre content in the flesh and were smaller in size but their total soluble solids (TSS) were satisfactory.
