| Abstract:
A review of progress in the utilization of molecular marker technology in grapevine breeding and genetics is presented. Utilization of this technology for a basic understanding of the grapevine genome and for the advancement of work in cultivar development is discussed. The potential in these areas is great, and much work remains to be done; yet the traditional techniques of grapevine breeding will continue to have a place in the simultaneous manipulation of multiple complex traits well into the next century. | |
