POLYPEPTIDE MARKERS DIFFERENTIATING JUVENILE AND ADULT MORPHOGENESIS IN GRAPEVINE

Abstract:
The production of vitroplants with a determined degree of juvenility should be allowed to obtain more or less productive clones. To determine the degree of juvenility, total proteins were analysed on leaves of Vitis vinifera cv. Pinot noir seedlings, adult shoots (greenhouse conditions) and micropropagated plants by two-dimensional gel electrophoresis. The comparison of profiles showed a specific protein (29kDa, pI 4,9) for the adult status and another polypeptide (13 kDa, pI 6) of which the lack for the juvenile plants seems to be characteristic.
