Abstract:
Investigations were carried out on gas exchange - photosynthesis, dark respiration, transpiration - with in vitro cultured Dimiat (clone candidates - 4/24 and 4/38) and Riesling Italian (clone candidate - 3/47 ) vine plants during their acclimatization.

Appropriate methods with satisfying accuracy were elaborated for the rates of photosynthesis and dark respiration with gas-analyser to be measured. Transpiration rates were determined after weight methods. The rates of photosynthesis were measured under different lightings: 1000, 5000, 10000 and 20000 lx. Results showed that the photosynthetic rate was significantly affected by the light intensity. Considerable differences in the gas exchange were established according to variety and time of measuring, as well. Lower photosynthetic rates and water use efficiency were obtained with Riesling clone compared to Dimiat clones. Rates of photosynthesis, respiration and transpiration decreased during acclimatization period (from day 14 to day 30 after transfer from in vitro culture) with all cultivars.
