Abstract:
The effect of gibberellic acid (GA3) on morphological characteristics of clusters and berries, Centennial Seedless grape cultivar was analyzed. The gibberellic acid was applied at once, two weeks after bloom at 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, and 35ppm concentrations. The treatments consisted of immersing clusters in acid solution. An experimental randomized block design with 8 treatments, seven replications, and three clusters per plot was performed. The polynomial regression analysis showed a significant quadratic effect concerning most analyzed parameters: cluster length, width, and weight, berry number, diameter, and weight, and stem length and width. The maximum values conferred to these variables were 22.05, 22.05, 25.74, 23.2, 28,69, 30.01, 22.05, and 23.93 ppm, respectively. For parameters as berry length, stem weight, and pedicel diameter a linear effect was detected in function of the increase of the doses used.

To obtain clusters and berries of Centennial Seedless grapes with best morphological standard, therefore of superior quality, only one doses of gibberellic acid, between 20 and 30 ppm, 16 days after blooming should be applied.
