METABOLISM OF CHLOROTIC VINE PLANTS SUPPLIED BY TRACE ELEMENT - CONTAINING COMPOUNDS

Abstract:
In chlorotic leaves as compared with sound ones the total content of ash elements is higher (primarily at the expense of P, Na, Cu, Zn), correlations between the elements are changed, synthesis of polymeric compounds becomes weaker. The deficiency of organic ligands (sugars, amino and organic acids) resulted in accumulation of the ionic inactive form of some elements in weak-chlorotic leaves. As the disease progresses, the trace elements concentration in annual organs decreases. Foliar application of trace element containing compounds presents one of the ways of metabolic processes activation. We judged about the curing action of different compounds according to a number of metabolic indices and the state of bushes. The photosynthetic activity, biosynthesis of 5-AA, chlorophyll concentration, carbohydrate and N-containing compounds, trace element accumulation and translocation, visual estimation of bushes and yielding capacity before and after foliar application usually vary to a large extent. Fe, Mn, Zn enhance photosynthetic rate, accumulation of sucrose and fructose in leaves and fructose in berry. Withdrawal of assimilates is increased under the influence of Mn and Zn. Fe decreases the nitrate concentration in vegetative parts and in berries.
