1.1 The site, the rootstocks and the varieties, the planting system must be suitable for producing regular yields of high quality fruits.
1.2 The planting material must have a high health status (absense of harmful viruses, fungi and bacteria).
1.3 Use of resistant varieties, where available.
1.4 Efficient field management: Economical aspects, low input of energy.
1.5 Use of new chemical products which are effective and safe.
1.6 Priority must be given to natural, cultural and biological methods to control diseases, pests and weeds.

1.7 Careful use of physiological means: fruit thinning, fertilizers, mulching system, irrigation, growth regulating methods.
1.8 Only fruits with high internal and external fruit quality should go to the store.
