EVIDENCE OF RESIDUAL EFFECTS OF CpGV IN IPM PROGRAMMES

Authors:   G. Biache, M. Guillon, A.M. Waffelaert
Keywords:   Granulosis virus, Cydia pomonella, Activity, association, orchad
Abstract:
Studies on residual populations of Codling moth after various viral applications in comparison with standard chemical treatment show: no difference in pupae development, a rather longer emergence period, and a reduction of more than 20% of emerging population and viral infestation of more than 30% of these individuals. Use of CpGV at hatching peak is recommended to reduce codling moth presure in all IPM and resistance management programmes.
