ISHS Acta Horticulturae 52: II Symposium on Timing of the Fieldproduction of Vegetable Crops

SOME ASPECTS ON TIMING OF CAULIFLOWER

Author:   S. Lindfors
Abstract:
The area used for cauliflower production in Sweden is about 600 ha. The production today is about 7 000, ton concentrated in summer and autumn months from the middle of June to November. Most of the Swedish cauliflower is produced in the southern part of the country. We have also an import of cauliflowers, mainly during winter and spring when we have no production in Sweden.

We are still working to get a continuous supply of cauliflower all over the season but it is to a great extent a problem of central planning of this crop.
