| Abstract:
High propagation rates of Cyclamen persicum via somatic embryogenesis are of interest for vegetative propagation of parental lines for F1-hybrids as well as for mass propagation of valuable single plants. As it is known for a wide range of plant species (Henry et al., 1994) the regeneration ability of cyclamen depends on the genotype and is assumed to be genetically controlled (Schwenkel et al., 1995).
