Abstract:
The aim of this paper was the determination of the nematofauna associated with a rosemary clone of the mircene chemotype obtained from INTA (National Centre for Agropecuarian Research) Castelar, Buenos Aires, and with two clones of 608 and 2044 lavender, obtained from the locality of La Cumbre, Province of Cordoba, Argentina.

The three clones were sown in experimental plots of 20 m2 each at the Cerrillos Department, Province of Salta, Argentina.

Samples of infected roots were taken at a distance of 20 cm from the collar and at a depth of 40 cm. Determination was carried out on the basis of perineal section patterns effected in adult females, according to Taylor's and Sasser's techniques.

The presence of Meloidogyne javanica (Treub, 1885) Chitwood, 1949 was determined in rosemary and of Meloidogyne incognita (Kofoid and White, 1919) Chitwood, 1949 in the two lavender and rosemary clones.
