Abstract:
The most dangerous phytopathogenic bacteria on kiwifruit orchards in Italy are described. Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae, Pseudomonas syringae pv. syringae and Pseudomonas viridiflava are the causal agents of bacterial canker, bacterial necrosis and bacterial blight on kiwifruit, respectively.
Their biological cycle, typical disease symptoms, ice nucleation activity and effective approaches to control these micro-organisms are considered.
