HortResearch has the single most comprehensive ex situ collection of Actinidia Lindl. germplasm with more than 250 separate accessions of budwood and seed comprising representatives of 23 species. There is a collection of about 80 Actinidia cultivars and named selections from both New Zealand and other countries. The collection provides the raw material for kiwifruit breeding and improvement programs. | |
