Abstract:
The in vitro performances of microshoots collected from adult plants and from the 4th serial grafting were compared.
In the multiplication phase, microshoots rejuvenated by repeated grafting showed higher proliferation factors and length of the tallest shoots than the adult ones.
Adult material was recalcitrant to rooting, while rejuvenated material showed a satisfactory rooting ability.
Forty percent rejuvenited plantlets overcame the acclimatization phase in misted greenhouse.
