Abstract:
A research project was set up in a vineyard of Cabernet S. to evaluate irrigation effects and the vines' water requirements varying the training system and vine spacing.
The results have shown the importance of irrigation in preserving the grape quality and higher water requirements of the free cordon compared to the spur pruned cordon.
Vine spacing proved to be of less importance.
