Abstract:
An inexpensive “Nutrient Flow Culture” with wood fibre substrate was used for protected vegetable production of bell pepper.
Two systems were compared with supply different quantities of nutrient solutions each controlled by separate equipment.
Consumption of nutrient solution per plant and day was similar among treatments and so was plant development, crop stand and health, total and usable yield as well as fruit quality.
Based on these results, the lesser expensive and simpler to operate production set-up can be recommended.
