| Abstract:
This paper describes the selection within the autochthonous apricot population which is grafted or budded or grown wild. The aim of this study was to choose the best cultivars, which are vigorous and have regular and abundant crop. The above mentioned cvs have been examined in situ in the area of the community of Cacak, Gornji Milanovac, Bolec, near Belgrade, Grocka and Smederevo. Five selections only (clone 1, clone 2, clone 3, clone 4 and clone 5) were selected, among many different apricot trees during the period 1981–1987. Only three clones were chosen after the experimental study. Each of them got a name as follows: Clone number 28 was named “Vera”, clone number 24 was named “Biljana” and clone number 1 was named “Aleksandar”. | |
