| Abstract:
The development of very early transplantations, with tray-cells seedlings, allows an earlier mechanical harvest and to spread the deliveries to the factories over a longer season. This aim depends on the quality of the seedlings, on the breeding of cold tolerant cultivars, and on crop management (irrigation and nutrient supply). The results show the feasibility and the necessary adjustement of the drip-irrigation schedule. | |
