Abstract:
We give an updated list of the palm collection grown at the Cienfuegos Botanic Gardens, which includes a total of 266 taxa from 70 genera pertaining to five subfamilies, of which Arecoideae is the best represented.
The genera with the largest number of species are: Copernicia, Livistona, Phoenix, Sabal and Coccothrinax. This collection was started in 1901 and the most represented continents are America with 145 species and Asia with 62.
