Abstract:
Greenwich University in collaboration with the Natural Resources Institute has been developing a cheap and reliable prototype electronic sensor array, comprising six semi-conducting metal oxide sensors.
This paper outlines the technology and the methods of data analysis employed in the instrument.
Finally, the paper reports the findings arising from a study of the aromas for five varieties of postharvest apples, that is, Braeburn (B), Golden Delicious (GD), Granny Smith (GS), Royal Gala (RG) and Egremont Russet (ER).
