Abstract:
All of the Dendranthema grandiflora cultivars - Dark Pink Jean, Gallant, Vero, Polaris and Moda - showed symptoms 21 days after being sown, at a 142.46 g dose of Phoma sp.; Polaris was also affected by 3 to 24 g doses.
Moda was the most resistant of all the cultivars.
The height of the Dark Pink Jean cultivar was affected by a 9 to 24 g dose.
The Gallant and Dark Pink Jean cultivar leaves resisted 3 to 12 g.
The roots of Moda, Vero and Dark Pink Jean were the most rapidly affected by disease; Gallant and Polaris roots were affected by 24 g of Phoma in liquid.
Plant mortality was high in this substrate because Phoma sp. helps Botrytis cinerea attack. The Trichoderma sp. isolate T7 in vitro is a more effective inhibitor of Phoma sp. than T17, T18 and T2B.
