Abstract:
Studies on storage and pomological properties were performed on different fig cultivars.
During the storage period, changes in titratable acid content, total soluble solid content and weight losses were investigated for one year and the pomological properties of the cultivars for two years.
Results showed that Yesilgüz, Sultan Selim, Bardakçi, Beyaz Orak cultivars can be successfully stored for 3 weeks, Bursa Siyahi and Karabakunya cultivars for 4 weeks.
Pomological properties indicated that the most feasible cultivar for the region was Bursa Siyahi followed by Beyaz Orak, Yesilgüz, Bardakçi, Sultan Selim and Karabakunya respectively.
