ANATOMICAL AND HISTOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT OF ROOTING ON THE FIG HARDWOOD CUTTINGS

Authors:   G. SeferoĖglu, F.E. Tekintaš
Keywords:   Hardwood cutting, rooting, primordium
Abstract:
The root primordium formation, callus tissue and the other tissue developments of Bursa Siyahi cv. were examined at 10 day intervals in 9 different periods. After 50 to 60 days from planting, the samples showed the cell differentiation of the primordia near the cambium tissues. Since the sclerenchymatic ring was pressured by ray parenchyma cells, root development was not affected negatively. 40 days after planting, the formation of callus xylem was developed. In addition, bud and leaf traces connected to pith were observed.
