Abstract:
Samples from plum trees were tested on the presence of Apple Chlorotic Leaf Spot Virus (ACLSV) in the different dates by ELISA. Our aim was to find the positive trees, from which some selected would be used as control trees for testing of this virus.
In the same experiment, testing kits from Bioreba and Sanofi have been checked for sensitivity to ACLSV. The samples for indexing were collected from different organs of plants - flowers, leaves or bark.
In the year 1996, the 146 trees were examined.
The positive reaction in ELISA was determinated in 31 trees, and 3 trees displayed the conspicuous reaction.
Most convenient organ for detection were flowers which budded in the room temperature, and flowers from trees in the orchard.
The different ELISA results were found in the same tree or cultivar using the single testing kit.
These results would be effected by presence of different isolates of ACLSV, or by presence of others viruses (or virus complexes).
