| Abstract:
Growth and yielding of some plum cultivars grafted on Myrobalan and Wangenheim Prune seedlings were compared. The trees on Wangenheim Prune seedlings grew less vigorously than these on Myrobalan seedlings and were more prolific. The rootstock had no influence on fruit quality. Trees on Wangenheim Prune seedlings bloomed and fruit ripened earlier. Also, they had no tendency to produce root suckers. | |
