ISHS Acta Horticulturae 474: III International Symposium on Olive Growing

INFLUENCE OF TREE CHARACTERS AND NUTRIENT STATUS OF OLIVE TREES ON THEIR PRODUCTIVITY

Authors:   A. Jasrotia, R.P. Singh, V.P. Bhutani, J.M. Singh
Keywords:   Trunk cross section area, Relative shoot growth rate, Forecasting
Abstract:
Different morphological characters viz., Trunk Cross Section Area (TCA), Canopy Volume, Shoot extension growth, Leaf area and Relative shoot growth rate (RGR) exhibited significant correlations with fruit set (R2=0.99) yield (-R2=0.92). Besides, tree productivity was also found to be influenced by foliar nutrient status (R2=0.97; 0.93 and 0.51 for fruit set, yield and oil content, respectively) and soil status (R2=0.97; 0.88) also improved for fruit set and yield of olives.
