EFFECT OF PRE-BLOOM TEMPERATURE AND RAINFALL ON GROWTH, YIELD AND PRODUCTIVITY OLIVES

Authors:   R.P. Singh, N. Sharma, V. Tandon
Keywords:   Erratic, Blooming intensity, Total phenols Orthro-dyhydroxy phenols
Abstract:
Trunk cross section area (TCA), canopy volume, blooming intensity, fruit set, yield and oil content possessed significantly higher values at Location-2 than at Location I. But a higher fruit drop was recorded at L-I than at L-2. Relatively higher fruit size, weight, pulp stone ratio and oil content were also recorded at Location-2 than at Location-I. Among different cultivars, Frontoio gave maximum yield at Location-I whereas, Leccino was more productive at Location-2.
