Abstract:
The fruit production data (y) considered are those for the years 1987–1995 concerning the plants cultivated in the Experimental Farm of the Viterbo University (Italy). The available meteorological data are those recorded in the field near the Meteorological Observatory of the Department of Vegetal Production.
In accordance with the researches of Rallo et al. (1994) and Rugini et al. (1996), it emerges that the maximum and minimum temperature and precipitations of the year previous to that of production, are important for the floral induction and floral initiation.
During the year of production the influence of the meteorological elements considered have a clear influence on the blooming, the endocarp sclerification, the evolution of fruit growth and maturation.
