Abstract:
Plum pox virus is considered one of the most damaging virus diseases of plums, apricots and peaches in the Czech Republic.
Seventy-three plum pox virus isolates from different growing areas and hosts were characterized using a set of monoclonal antibodies, including D specific, M specific and universal.
Fifty-two isolates belong to PPV-D serotype, 20 isolates were recognized by M specific monoclonal antibody and one sample of mixed infection was detected.
Distribution of PPV-D and PPV-M serotypes in the Czech Republic indicated original and/or massive spread of PPV-D isolates in the Czech Republic.
