Abstract:
In order to determine the transmission percentage of raspberry bushy dwarf virus (RBDV) in raspberry plants propagated via etiolated shoots, roots of RBDV-infected raspberry plants were harvested, washed, disinfected and planted in trays containing sterilized sand.
Daughter plants obtained from these roots were tested serologically by the triple antibody sandwich technique (TAS-ELISA). The results indicate that a high proportion of the daughter plants obtained via etiolated shoots from RBDV-infected mother plants carry the virus.
