Abstract:
In recent years, apple orchards of local fruit farmers experienced heavy hail showers which led to fungal infections.
Hail may induce infractions of apple fruit skin which may injure the tissue and provide the basis for fungal infections.
Monilia is such a fungal rot which infects the young apple fruit and all other stages of the fruit in summertime.
