DYNAMICS OF APPLE FRUITS' MINERAL CONTENT AND ITS INFLUENCE ON SHELF LIFE IN BELARUS |

| Abstract:
The changes during development of apple fruit mineral content had been studied in the four cultivars ‘Antonovka Obyknovennaya’, ‘Belorusskoye Malinovoye’, ‘Slava Pobeditelyam’, ‘Welsi’ grown in an experimental orchard of the Belarusian Research Institute for Fruit Growing in 1994. The degree of influence of cultivar and date of apple sampling factors on variability of mineral content and (K+Mg)/Ca and Ca/Mg ratio parameters were calculated. Close correlations between mineral content of apple fruits and its shelf life and quality were found. | |
