Abstract:
The product quality of an apple fruit is influenced by external and internal features.
The goal of this research is to analyse the correlations between all those intrinsic quality factors, especially between non-destructive and destructive measurable parameters.
Meaningful correlations can be helpful in developing a sorting procedure to predict the internal quality without injuring the apple fruit.
Image processing is used to characterise the external features, like the shape, the size and the color.
