Abstract:
A study in a multiple - factor stationary field experiment with 16 NPK variants was carried out.
Chromium content in the early head cabbage was determined by a new extraction spectrophotometric method with Iodnitrotetrazolium chloride.
Chromium was also determined by the atomic - absorption method in order to compare the results.
It was established that fertilization has an effect upon the chromium content in the head cabbage.
The plants were grown by the technology adopted for the region.
Yield of head cabbage per 103m2 was taken into account.
The dry matter percent was determined by weight.
The stationary experiment was set on a strongly leached meadow cinnamon soil with a slightly acid to neutral reaction (pH = 6.8 to 7.0) a the humus content of 2.2%. Taking into consideration the high selectivity, sensitivity and rapidity, the method with Iodnitrotetrazolium chloride can successfully be used for determination of chromium traces.
