Abstract:
The results of application of electromotor driven hoe, in the inter-row cultivation of soil, at production of tomatoes and peppers grown, in greenhouses, and in soil cultivation in allotments, are presented in the paper. On the basis of the three-year researching, by the Institute for agricultural engineering of the Agricultural Faculty in Novi Sad, where a prototype of an electromotor driven hoe was designed, following results have been obtained. By the application of the electromotor driven hoe in a greenhouse, the hoeing outputs achieved were 5.7 to 8.7 times higher than those outputs achieved by manual hoeing of inter-rows, with decreasing of engaged labor by 4.3 to 5.7 times. Besides the mentioned effects, the harmful effect of exhaust fumes was eliminated, and, the noise of the electromotor driven hoe was minimized. When carrying out the soil cultivation in allotments, the electromotor driven hoe has achieved the output of 1006 sq.m/h.
