RESULTS OF THE EFFECT OF THE LASER LIGHT ON SOME VEGETABLES

Authors:   G. Vasilevski, D. Bosev

Abstract:
After several years of investigations in the field of vegetable production, we can conclude that some vegetables react very positively to treating their seeds and plants with laser light. The effects became obvious due to clear evidence such as, increased yields, early maturity, a better quality of the products etc.

The yield increased differently for the following vegetables: tomatoes 20 – 24 %, peppers 13%, cucumbers 15%, onions 15,5% and beans 27%.

The percentage of early maturity as an essential parameter in the vegetable production was increased with 19 – 24% for peppers, 17% for cucumbers. The vegetation period of tomatoes was reduced by 8 days. Dry materials increased with 3,8% for beans, 5,3% for peppers and up to 6,5% for onions.

These positive effects are the result of a better condition of the plants in general, a higher degree of tolerance towards physiological stress, a dynamic of the growth and development of the plants treated with laser.
