| Abstract:
The French Bean is an important crop in the region of Zajecar. It is grown mostly on individual property lots. There are many domestic and foreign cultivars as well as numerous populations. Aiming to find possibilities for French Bean seed production in the agro-ecological conditions of Zajecar, the following four cultivars of French Beans have been investigated: Palanacka rana, Provajder, Eho and Forum. Besides seed yield, also investigated were the mass of 1000 grains as well as seed germination. On the basis of the results obtained, it can be concluded that the area of Zajecar is suitable for successful production of French Bean seed with a high level of germination. | |
