CHANGE IN QUALITY PARAMETERS OF THE TOMATO FRUIT FROM GLASSHOUSE PRODUCTION

Abstract:
The authors have co-operated in searching for quality parameters of tomato in order to determine relationship among varieties, harvest time, inner content, the rheological characteristics, keepability of tomato samples grown in soil and rockwool.

In this study measuring results of the alimentary quality of tomato (dry matter, sugar, acid and vitamin C content) and the firmness of crops during the storage trials are summarized.

The measured characteristics of crops have been compared with market samples bought on home market in springtime, imported from abroad or produced in Hungary.
