Abstract:
The Pillnitz apple rootstock breeding program was concluded with the following results:
- Three dwarfing rootstocks were submitted for breeder's rights

- The rootstock Pillnitzer 'Supporter 4'® ('Pi 80') formerly bred at Pillnitz is presently being multiplied in commercial nurseries.
- Numerous improved screening methods were integrated into the breeding process.
