ISHS Acta Horticulturae 448: III International Symposium on Mineral Nutrition of Deciduous Fruit Trees

THE INTERRELATION OF NUTRIENT ELEMENT CONTENTS IN APPLE TREE LEAVES AND FRUITS GROWTH, YIELD AND QUALITY

Author:   A.A. Chundokova
Abstract:
The work has been performed on computer by the programs of statistical analysis. There was estimated the force of interrelations of nutrient element contents in apple tree leaves and 10 indices, featuring the vital activity of a plant and fruit quality. Nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium had the strongest relation to the contents of dry substances and sugars in fruits, the - to yield quantity and at last to the contents of ascorbic acid and catechols in fruits. Thus, the nutrient elements assimilating in apple tree leaves “work” first and foremost for a fruit, forming its biochemical composition.
